The 2019 Carleton Place Senior of the Year is…Peggy Gallipeau!
Carleton Place resident Peggy Gallipeau was given the honour at the eighth annual Carleton Place Senior of the Year banquet, held on September 26 at the Canadian Golf & Country Club in Ashton. Peggy was nominated alongside Michelle Niefer, Ron Rivait, Frances Smith, Gary Strike and Waterside Community Member George Wood. Additionally, last year’s Senior of the Year, Joan Bray, was recognized as the Provincial Senior of the Year!
Festivities on Thursday included appetizers prepared by Waterside’s Culinary Team, a three-course dinner, musical entertainment, and a silent auction in support of the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital Foundation which raised approximately $1,200!
