Digging into Gardening Season

With the warm weather finally here, Community Members spent May and June planting our first floor Victory Garden. With the combined knowledge from our Community Members, green thumbs, and a list from the kitchen of desired fruits and veggies, we planted a wide variety of plants and flowers to keep everyone happy all season long. Soon V!VA Whitby Shores Retirement Community, will have a flourishing strawberry patch, cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, beans and of course, all the herbs that the chefs can use in our amazing V!VAlicious program. We want to thank the hard work of Community Members Barb, Ken, Jean, Ann, Colleen, Nick and Trudy for getting our first garden ready this year.
