National Aviation Day

National Aviation Day recognizes the pioneers of human flight. And V!VA Mississauga Retirement Community is lucky to have a few brilliant people who were some of Canada’s first engineers of aircraft! Community Member Russ, who was the Chief of Testing Engineering Labs at Orenda Engines (a division of AVRO), spoke about his time and passion for engineering aircraft. Another Community Member, Eric, presented on his experience in England and the activities surrounding mechanical flight and the aircraft industry. Community Member George presented an intriguing point of view with his presentation on the race for the Atom Bomb.
