A Message to our Team Members from V!VA’s President

As everyone continues to navigate the on-going developments around COVID-19, one thing continues to be clear: this virus poses a particularly high risk for older adults. This risk puts you –our frontline Team Members and Managers – in a crucial position.
Working in a retirement community can be difficult even on the best of days, and the added burden of trying to prevent an outbreak certainly adds new pressure. Some of you are taking on tasks you haven’t done before, and others are working extra hours to help cover shifts. Every single one of these efforts is hugely appreciated and makes a meaningful impact on the challenge facing us.
Meanwhile, we recognize you are all confronting additional demands at home, from ensuring your families remain healthy, to navigating childcare arrangements and adopting social distancing among other protocols encouraged by our public health authorities.
I sincerely thank you for your on-going commitment and hard work safeguarding our Community Members during this unprecedented time. I also want to assure you that V!VA will continue to work to provide the best tools and protocols possible to help you carry on the vital work of keeping Community Members and Team Members healthy and safe.
