It is with a heavy heart that we share that Eli Marder, CEO of V!VA, has passed away after bravely battling serious illness for several years.
Eli started his journey with V!VA soon after the company was founded and the Marder family came aboard as key investors. Up to that point, Eli had spent much of his career developing and building long-term care and retirement homes, including Meadowlands (which would eventually join the V!VA family). In 2011, Eli assumed the company’s leadership role. Since then, V!VA has grown to eight operating locations, with one in construction and three more in development, while strengthening its reputation as both a retirement living leader and a great place to work.
Eli was also a dedicated volunteer with many charities, including those focused on helping children with disabilities.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Leba, five children and two grandchildren, as well as his parents and siblings.
Eli was a person of utmost integrity, and the embodiment of our Orange Dot Values. His memory will light the path forward as V!VA continues on its journey.
