V!VA’s Victory Gardens – two (green) thumbs up!

This month at all of our V!VA Retirement Communities, Community Members gathered to plan out the 2018 garden season. At Waterside Retirement Community in Carleton Place, the group discussed what plants, herbs, flowers, and colours they would like in their V!VA Victory Garden raised planters. Then, they headed to the nearby garden nurseries in preparation for planting day. Waterside’s Garden Club is responsible for maintaining the Victory Garden with help from the Lifestyles Team, and families, too! Best of all, the herbs and vegetables planted in the Victory Garden are used by V!VA’s Culinary Teams in preparing mouth-watering meals for the Community Members! How’s that for local produce!
