Waterside Ribfest 2019

Waterside Retirement Community had a fantastic turnout for our 6th annual Ribfest celebration for National Seniors Month. We hosted over eighty Community Members and guests with a feast of BBQ ribs, tasty salads, and musical entertainment. Three entries were submitted for the competition and three judges, Councillor Randell, former Carleton Place Deputy Mayor Jerry, and Community Member George, were given the opportunity to vote for the best tasting ribs. We’re proud to say the winning ribs were from our very own Culinary Services Supervisor Craig, with second place to our Executive Chef Shane, and 3rd place to Wes from the local restaurant Pitmaster. There’s no arguing that the food prepared by Waterside’s Culinary Team is always top-notch; and now it’s award-winning!
